I spent Monday evening and much of Tuesday at the Innovation Economy Conference, sponsored by the Aspen Institute and Intel (see earlier posting on the pre-conference poll on innovation issues). Videos of the session are now available online. I would specifically recommend the Monday night discussion with John Kao and Sir Harold Evans. That discussion illuminated the broad definition of innovation - as more than just gadgets.
Unfortunately, there is no video of what I thought was the best session: the breakout with Dan Pink, Gerhard Schmidt of Ford, and the legendary Sidney Harman. Pink's analysis of 21st Century skills and Harman's understanding of the innovation and innovative organizations was one of the best I have heard. If you have read Pink's A Whole New Mind, do so.
