Last week Ralph Gomory gave an interesting talk to the New America Foundation on the need for manufacturing. Gomory is the former head of R&D for IBM and former President of the Sloan Foundation. His major point is that we need a healthy manufacturing sector to have a balances economy. I completely agree.
